How to Get Younger Looking Eyes

It’s perfectly natural to want to look as young as you feel on the inside. Over time, you’ll probably notice the skin around your eyes showing signs of ageing. Not to worry, there are plenty of ways that you can make your eyes look bright and youthful. Apply makeup to cover dark under eyes and fine lines, and use natural remedies to reduce puffiness and dryness. Before you know it, your eyes will have a beautiful, youthful glow!

These 5 tips and tricks will help fight the look of every eye concern. Learn how to brighten, depuff, lift or smooth!!

1. Dark Circles

The skin under your eyes is extremely thin. This means that the slightest hint of a dark circle – caused by pooled blood close to the surface – can make you look like you’ve smeared eye black onto your cheeks, football-style.

Before heading out the door, gently pat some creamy concealer at the outer edges of your eyes and onto your lids. This will instantly brighten up your eyes and cover up those pesky dark circles!

2. Sagging

Saggy skin under the eyes is caused when water pools into swelled tissue. If you’re stressed or not getting enough sleep at night, this could be your problem! Try adding another pillow under your head – the extra elevation will help keep excess fluids from building up in your face.

3-Apply eye cream properly

Whatever eye cream you use (because using one goes without saying), it’ll be no use to you unless you apply it correctly.

Nicola Simmons of skincare brand Phytomer suggests applying a pea-sized amount to both eyes using your ring finger. Pat on the product, starting at the inner corner of the eye contour and working out towards the crow’s feet area.

If you have any product left over, only apply it to your brow bone; think about where the lower edge of your sunglasses would rest on your face and this is where you need to apply it – and no higher.

4- Open your eyes up with mascara

Big, wide eyes scream youthful buoyancy. Unfortunately, our eyes tend to look smaller as we age and puffy, dark circles only add to these woes.

Big lashes help to open up your eyes and while falsies aren’t for everyone, using an eyelash curler will help make the most of what nature gave you.

5- Cleanse your eyes carefully

Whatever you do, don’t use face wipes. When we drag these temporary towels across our face – and our eyes – we damage the thinner eye area. Instead, use a cleanser or micellar water that’s easy on the eyes.
